Our NDIS Workshops at Sixth Street Cafe are growing, and growing.
On Mondays we have Cooking Classes with our amazing Chef Jimmy from 10am-2pm
On Tuesdays and Wednesdays we have Art Classes with our incredible Art Teacher Alison Walker from 10am-2pm
On Fridays it’s our TGIF Socials – picnics, trips, socials, gaming movies – and more! with new friends and old!
NDIS Workshops at Sixth Street Cafe
Life Skills
Aim towards ensuring clients are working towards achieving basic life skills that will be essential for their independence.
Social Skills
Supporting clients to make social connections within social groups in the community. Support clients to access new parts of the community they may not have previously known about or may have had barriers accessing.
Creativity Skills
Support clients to work towards creative expression and being able to build social confidence to work on interacting with other clients and support workers.
Media Skills
Aim to build new media and communication skills to create social groups for clients to be able to meet outside of supported services and independently discuss topics.
Employment Pathways (Coming Soon)
To turn interests into sources of employment. We have an embryonic programme which takes interests and looks for avenues to monetise these to assist participants with their life goals. This will build over time into broader opportunities based on client feedback.
