Social Skills

The Social Skills workshop aims towards allowing clients to make social connections within social groups in the community. Allow clients to access new parts of the community they may not have previously known about or may have had barriers accessing.

Social Group Day – to have a weekly social group that attends organized activities with support. To focus on capacity building for the clients to plan these outings to be able to use public transportation, budget money for the activity, find new activities to access in the community and to be able to work towards independently attending the outings.

Social Group Night- the premise will be the same as the day group instead in the evening.

Weekend Outings Group – for clients to work towards capacity to attend larger scale events such as the Royal Easter Show, NRL games or common interests they may want to engage with.
