This workshop aims to turn interests into sources of employment. We have an embryonic programme which takes interests and looks for avenues to monetise these to assist participants with their life goals. This will build over time into broader opportunities based on client feedback.
Barista Classes – to teach clients who are interested in making coffee and gaining a Certificate II to be able to move to paid employment. Working towards paid shifts at the Sixth Street Café and partner cafes in the local area
Dog caring group – working towards being paid dog minders and walkers with earnings to clients
Arts & Crafts Group – to assist clients in building a new skill or skills to use and to gain more social skills. Working towards creating items for sale for our Christmas fair with earnings to clients.
Designing and Broadcast – using canva on our media PCs, using iphones to create social media posts, blogging content and artwork working towards creating paid work for clients.
